What is Holistic Nutrition? When we say that we focus on a holistic approach, this means addressing the body, the mind, the emotions, the heart and even the spirit.  True wellness is so much more than having a healthy body.  We can eat well and exercise, but if we are living chaotic, restless lives, how can we be at peace?  How can we fully recharge our batteries?  It's so important to take time to slow down, to enjoy our families and the blessings in our lives, and to give thanks!

According to the wise system of medicine, Ayurveda, when we are in harmony with our true and highest selves, we create health and when we are out of touch with our inner nature, we create disease. How can we learn to slow down enough to listen to ourselves instead of listening to external sources?  Life is too short to spend it dampening our own inner light. Through our own awareness and healing, let's move into an authentic life that truly feels nourishing and alive.

We all deserve to live happy, peaceful, fulfilled lives.  And it is not only possible....it's essential.

Peace Sessions: Designed for those who are looking to live calmer, more peaceful lives and to stop turning to external sources for comfort and relief.  Anyone who feels that they have chronic high stress, is living in fight or flight mode, feels there is not enough time, or is overwhelmed, can benefit. Those with adrenal burnout, anxiety disorders, and nervous system issues will find relief here. Those who are going through life changes or challenges, such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, career crossroads, addictions, illnesses, or emotional turmoil. Emotional eaters will learn new ways to deal with emotions​

​Nutrition Consultations: One learns how to eat whole, natural, nourishing foods, obtains meal plans for healthy eating and living, creates a vision for health, and receives coaching and accountability. Most importantly, we look at the factors that are contributing to keeping us stuck in old patterns of thought and behavior. We take an honest look at these underlying thoughts and beliefs, and then change them, which lays the groundwork for changing our behaviors around food, exercise and lifestyle. You will be given a toolbox with skills that address how to cope with stress, learning to take deep breaths, and calling upon the body’s natural healing abilities so that instead of turing to food, alcohol or other substances, you use your toolbox.

Yoga Classes: Yoga classes are for all levels and range from learning basic yoga poses to deeply stretching all muscle groups, to profoundly relaxing and meditative.  During non-Covid times, they all end with a shoulder press/massage and essential oils. Deep breathing and meditation are taught both in yoga and in healing sessions for empowering, uplifting, calming the nervous system, and providing a soothing balm for anyone suffering from stress, anxiety and overwhelm. Private yoga is available in your home or at Radiant Wellness.
